Does each colourway count towards my product limit?

No. Colourway variants sit under a single passport with a swatch picker, because the fibre, factory and production process are identical across colours. A style in 5 colours is 1 product, not 5. Count styles, not shelf SKUs, when you are sizing a plan.

Does ENVRT write anything to my Shopify store?

No. The connection is read-only. We request three read permissions and nothing else, so there is no permission that would let us edit a product, a price or an order even by mistake.

What exactly can ENVRT see?

Your product catalogue (titles, links, prices, images and descriptions), the countries your shop sells to and the destination country of recent orders. We do not request access to customers, so names, emails and addresses are out of reach.

Do you read my order history?

Only the rolling 60-day window Shopify grants by default, and only the destination country, as a count per country. We deliberately did not request the permission that reaches further back.

How do passports appear on my product pages?

You add one block in your theme editor. It matches each product to its passport by SKU and shows the label. A product without a published passport shows nothing, and the block stands down where you have already pasted an embed by hand.

Your credential is deleted the moment you uninstall from Shopify, and the store's data is removed within Shopify's 48-hour window. Published passports stay live at their own URLs, because those belong to you.

Each answer carries a weighted score across four dimensions. Supply chain transparency and product data completeness each weight 30 per cent of the overall score. Regulatory awareness and data infrastructure each weight 20 per cent. The overall score is mapped to one of five bands from Critical Exposure to Advanced.

When will the EU Digital Product Passport be required for textiles?

No binding date exists yet. The Commission plans to adopt the textile delegated act, which defines what a passport must contain and how it must be published, in late 2027. ESPR then allows at least 18 months before the rules apply, so textile passports are expected no earlier than 2029. Building now means a working passport, and a season of supplier data, well before the enforcement clock starts.
